Cause:

Solution:

1) Change the print resolution for a temporary workaround:

a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select the 'Settings' menu and select 'Printers'. (The 'Printers' window appears.)

c) Right-click the printer for which to change the settings. (A pop-up menu appears.)
d) Select 'Properties'. (The printer 'Properties' dialog box appears.)
e) Click the 'Graphics' tab.

f) Select a lower or higher resolution from the 'Resolution' drop-down list box.

g) Click 'Apply' and 'OK' to close the printer 'Properties' dialog box.
h) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Printers' window.
i) Print the document again.

2) Use a generic print driver in Windows 95:

a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select the 'Settings' menu and select 'Printers'. (The 'Printers' window appears.)

c) Double-click the 'Add Printer' icon. (The 'Add Printer Wizard' appears.)

d) Click 'Next'.
e) If prompted, select the 'Local printer' or 'Network printer' radio button and click 'Next'.
f) Select 'Generic' from the 'Manufacturer' list box. (The generic/text only driver appears in the 'Printers' list box.

g) Click 'Next'.
h) Select the printer port from the 'Available ports' list box.

i) Click 'Next'.
j) (Optional) Type a name for the printer.
k) Click the 'No' radio button and click 'Next'.
l) Click the 'Yes' radio button to print a test page and click 'Finish'. (The 'Insert Disk' dialog box appears.)
m) Insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and click 'OK'.
n) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Printers' window.
